Ladies can spend day golfing for a great cause

On July 7, 2016 our 16th Annual Ladies Golf and Spa Day will be held at Roundel Glen Golf Course in Trenton. Golfers will enjoy nine holes of golf with a cart, Spa Treatments from Polish Day Spa, massage therapy treatments from BIHC and Sutherland-Chan Clinic, a wonderful dinner, door prizes and raffles items. This event is an afternoon for our ladies to play golf, have fun and relax all for $115 per player.

We are also seeking businesses interested in hole sponsorships. The cost is $150 and you supply your sign. This is a great opportunity to promote your business to more than 100 women.
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with hole-in-one spotting, putting contest, foot and hand spa services, set-up and teardown of event, registration and relievers throughout the day.
• Canada Day committees are looking for volunteers to assist with celebrations. Event positions include set up June 30, 2016, July 1, 2016 7a.m. to 11 am, and tear down July 2, 2016, Event positions for July 1 include supervising bouncy castles, help with the coffee tent, main tent, T-shirt tent, serving cake at open ceremonies, family events, water events. High school students are welcomed.
• Canadian Red Cross Disaster Management is seeking volunteer responders and dispatchers who can commit to 12 hours on call a month providing relief directly to clients in need of assistance and/or provide dispatching services to assist in ensuring the smooth operation of the Quinte Personal Disaster Assistance program.
• Links to Learning is seeking volunteer tutors to teach children to read for one hour a week for six months. They use volunteers Monday to Saturday, but they are really in need of volunteers for Saturday.
• Community Advocacy and Legal Centre is seeking volunteers interested in learning more about your community legal clinic. Volunteers provide assistance in daily general office tasks including filing, photocopying, restocking of office equipment, preparing file opening kits, developing forms and offering assistance in areas you excel or can offer expertise.
• Loyalist Humane Society is seeking volunteers to assist with cleaning facilities (litter boxes, floors, cat beds, etc.), topping up food, providing clean water and generally assuring the well-being of animals.
• Prince Edward Learning Centre is seeking a Monday morning kitchen volunteer. The volunteer will work with a small group to prepare food (cookies, muffins, pot of soup, etc.).
• PELC is looking for adults wishing to become a literacy tutor for adults in Prince Edward County. Must be patient and have good communication skills.
