Corporate challenge issued

The Good Baby Box program helps families stretch their dollar, reduce food costs and meet the nutritional food needs of their infants and toddlers. Participants can choose from a variety of food and baby care items such as jarred baby food, cereal, diapers, baby wipes, shampoo, and formula. Anyone in Hastings and Prince Edward counties with an infant/toddler under the age of two can participate. You can purchase an infant box for $6, Baby Box $10 and Toddler Box $6.50. Powdered and concentrated formulas are also available. How does the CDC offer these prices? With the support of the community.
Each year The Community Development Council (CDC) organizes their Annual Baby Food Drive this year’s goal is to collect 7,500 jars of baby food to support the Good Baby Box Program. This program currently has more than 1,400 children registered and they need our support. The staff and Board of Directors of Volunteer & Information Quinte would like to issue a challenge to the community to donate baby food to the CDC. Over the next week we want to work together to ensure families have access to affordable items. You can drop items off at the CDC office located at 65 Station St., Belleville or our office at 199 Front St. Suite 121. We will be collecting donations until June 30, 2016. Please feel free to contact us at 613-969-8862 for details.
